Salida Police holds its own reports from 2022 forward. Chaffee County Records handles Salida and county reports dated 2021 or earlier. That date split matters more than where a requester lives. Chaffee District Court hears felony trials and other general-jurisdiction matters. County Court hears misdemeanors, state traffic cases, and early felony stages. Salida and Buena Vista Municipal Courts handle their own ordinance and municipal traffic matters.
